Craig's Computer Ranking (C):
Updated a few times each week, this is a weighted average of rankings, one based on RPI, the other based on team and average opponent point spreads.
The 2010-2011 state champs (North Star boys, Carrington girls) both finished with a #1 ranking.
The 2011-2012 state champs finished with a #1 (Beulah boys) and #2 (Grafton girls) ranking.

RPI Ranking (R):
Updated a few times each week, the RPI is a standard formula used in many levels of basketball, derived from wins, losses, and strength of schedule (wins and losses of opponents and opponents' opponents).
The 2010-2011 state champs finished with a #2 (North Star boys) and #1 (Carrington girls) ranking.
The 2011-2012 state champs finished with a #1 (Beulah boys) and #2 (Grafton girls) ranking.
